SST™ Powders
Powdered materials are one of the most important elements for the success of any cold sprayed application. SST offers an assortment of proven cold spray-grade powders including standard blends of Aluminum-based, copper-based, Nickel-based, Tin, Zinc, and aluminum oxide blasting media. SST also offers custom blended powders specially formulated for your intended application. All of our powder materials have been carefully selected to have the right combination of particle size distribution, shape, and purity.
Standard applications for SST™ powders include dimensional restoration, electrical conductivity, heat dissipation, corrosion protection, sealing, and surface cleaning applications. Our low-pressure cold spray feedstock powders are quite different from the powders formulated for high-pressure cold spray or thermal spray processes; SST™ powder blends may include non-metallic constituents that ensure best spray-ability and properties obtainable using the SST™ cold spray equipment. Note that ordinary spherical and heavily oxidized commercial powders will not provide acceptable equipment performance and/or reliable deposits. For best results, use only SST™ powders which work best when sprayed with SST™ Cold Spray equipment.
SST™ Standard Powders
SST™ standard feedstock powders are ideal for applications ranging from dimensional restoration, thermal dissipation, electrical conductivity, corrosion protection, sealing, and surface cleaning applications. They are designed for use with SST™ Cold Spray equipment. Please refer to the list below to see the Technical Data Sheets for any of our standard cold spray grade powder offerings. You may also access the corresponding Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for these powders.Note: The parametric ranges listed in the material data sheets apply exclusively to CenterLine's SST Cold Spray equipment and are based on compressed air or nitrogen operation only. Contact CenterLine for recommendations on specific parameters involving other suitable gases, equipment, and/or conditions. The spray parameters listed are not necessarily transferrable to other cold spray processes.
